    INFORMATION:

    The basis of LaserDisc technology was DiscoVision (1978) and in the late eighties (1987-1990) it became known as CD Video. It became known as LaserDisc in 1990 and lasted for another decade. LaserDisc promotion started to die off in 1999 due to the DVD format but the last LaserDisc produced was Tokyo Raiders in 2001 (a Japanese pressing with Dolby Digital AC-3).
